France: Hotels and catering employers agree employment commitments
Employers in the French hotels and catering sector have agreed with the Government to increase employment and improve pay and conditions, in exchange for a cut in the industry's VAT rate from July 2009.
The Government and employers' organisations for hotels, cafés and restaurants signed a "contract for the future" on 28 April 2009.
