France: Hotels group introduces anonymous CVs
The Accor hotels group announced in July 2009 that the CVs of all applicants for jobs in its French operations will be anonymised, to reduce the risk of discrimination in recruitment.
For several years, the French Government has been encouraging the use of anonymous CVs in recruitment and selection, as a way of avoiding possible discrimination on race, sex and other grounds, on the basis of applicants’ names, addresses, places of birth or other details.
