France: Industrial tribunal elections held
Employers and employees elected their representatives on France’s industrial tribunals on 3 December 2008, although the turn-out in the poll fell to a historic low of 25.7%.
Industrial tribunals (conseils de prud’hommes) are courts that deal with disputes relating to individual employment contracts.
