France: Law allows more Sunday working
A law published in France’s Official Journal on 11 August 2009 widens the scope of exemptions from the general ban on Sunday working.
The new law reaffirms that Sunday is, in principle, a rest day and unemployed people may refuse jobs that involve Sunday working without losing rights to benefit.
