France: Laws adopted on labour market modernisation and combating discrimination

Over May-June 2008, the French parliament adopted legislation on modernising the labour market and on bringing discrimination law into line with EU requirements.

On 12 June 2008, parliament adopted a law implementing the national cross-industry agreement on "labour market modernisation" signed by trade unions and employers’ organisations in January.
