France: Parliament rejects plan to introduce joint commissions for small firms

In July 2010, the French Government's plans to introduce joint commissions to provide collective representation for employees of all small firms in a particular sector and geographical area were defeated in Parliament.

In April 2010, the Government issued a draft law on the representation of employees in firms with fewer than 11 staff.
