France: Public transport strike law implemented
On 16 January 2008, the minister of labour, Xavier Bertrand, reported to the cabinet on the implementation of the law of 21 August 2007 on dispute prevention and minimum services during strikes in public transport.
The law aims to guarantee users of land-based public transport a “reduced but organised” service in the event of strikes or other foreseeable disturbances.
