France: Social dialogue law nears adoption

On 12 December 2006, the lower house of parliament approved draft legislation on modernising the social dialogue. The draft introduces new procedures for social dialogue (European Employment Review (EER), formerly European Industrial Relations Review, 394 p.6) and seeks to "modernise the preparation of reforms while reorganising the relationship between the government and the social partners".
