France: Talks open on pensions reform

The French Government launched consultations with trade unions and employers' organisations in April 2010 over a forthcoming reform of the state pensions system.

On 12 April, Eric Woerth, the minister of labour, held a series of meetings with unions and employers' organisations to open the consultation process over an overhaul of state pensions, which the Government had announced in February.
