France: Temporary work agencies fined for anti-competitive practices
France’s Competition Council fined three major temporary work agencies in February 2009 - Adecco, Manpower and VediorBis - a total of €94.4 million for sharing information about important clients in order to limit competition among the agencies.
Between them, Adecco, Manpower and VediorBis represent 70% of the French agency work market and supply 90% of the temporary labour required by large companies.
