Furniture deal raises rates by up to 5%

  • A pay and conditions agreement negotiated under the auspices of the British Furniture Joint Industrial Council (BFJIC) has resulted in an increase in minimum rates worth between 2.8% and 5%. The BFJIC comprises the British Furniture Manufacturers, the trade association representing the employers, and the GMB's construction, furniture, timber and allied section that negotiates on behalf of the industry's 45,000 workers.
