A 12-month pay award agreed between the Association of Colleges and further education trade unions increases all salaries and allowances in the sector by 2% from 1 August 2006, with a further 1% increase coming into effect on 1 February 2007. The award brings the minimum salary for support staff in the sector to £12,114 a year from 1 August 2006 and £12,237 a year from 1 February 2007.
