Germany: Banking crisis triggers delay in strike ballot
The ver.di services trade union has decided to postpone a strike ballot in the private and regional state banking industry, originally due to be held in November 2008, in the light of the financial crisis that has overwhelmed the sector.
The decision to postpone the ballot was taken following a meeting of the union’s committee for the financial services branch on 17 October 2008.
