Germany: Court rejects East German discrimination claim

An employee's claim, arguing that she was rejected for a job on the grounds that she was of East German origin, was rejected by the local labour court in Stuttgart in April 2010.

The plaintiff in the case was a 49-year-old book-keeper born in East Berlin but resident in West Germany since 1988.
