Germany: Daimler offers 10-year job security plan
Management, the works council and the IG Metall trade union signed an agreement in December 2009 on a new "personnel concept" for Daimler's main manufacturing facility in Germany, which offers job security to the plant's 37,000 employees following a global reorganisation of Mercedes-Benz production.
The agreement will apply only to the Sindelfingen plant, near Stuttgart.
