Germany: Employment law amendments round-up

A number of changes to the law in the employment field have come into force from 1 January 2009, following decisions made in 2008.

The rate of employers’ and employees’ contributions to the Federal Labour Agency (Agentur für Arbeit) has been reduced from 3.3% of pay to 3% (having stood at 6.5% as recently as 2006).
