Germany: Legislation on employee data protection amended
The Lower House of the German Parliament passed a set of amendments to data protection legislation on 3 July 2009, including a number of changes relating to employment.
The changes to the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) seek to remedy a number of problems with the existing rules.
