Germany: Minimum wage in postal sector declared invalid
The minimum wage for 200,000 employees in the postal services sector was ruled invalid by the Federal Administrative Court in January 2010.
The 1996 Posted Workers Law (Arbeitnehmer-Entsendegesetz) allows collectively agreed minimum wage rates to be applied to all employers and employees in a particular industry.
