Germany: Minimum wage provisions widened
The conservative-social democrat coalition Government agreed in January 2009 to extend binding minimum wage provisions to a number of additional sectors.
The Posted Workers Law (Arbeitnehmer-Entsendegesetz) allows collectively agreed minimum wage rates to be applied to all employers and employees in a particular industry.
