Germany: Minister argues for legislation on women's quotas

Germany's minister for family affairs, Kristina Schröder, indicated in June 2010 her support for quotas to raise the proportion of women in senior management roles, with the aim of achieving a 20% share by 2015.

Women currently fill around 14% of all management positions in large German firms, with only 6% of top managers being female.
