Germany: One-fifth of employees are "low paid"

Germany's continuing debate on low pay was fuelled in summer 2010 by the publication of official figures indicating that 20% of employees are low paid.

In a response to a written question by the opposition Left Party, the Government has published comparative data on low pay in Germany and other EU countries.
