Germany: Pay freezes agreed at Lufthansa

In July 2010, Lufthansa, the former state-owned German airline, signed new collective agreements with trade unions representing pilots and ground staff, providing for pay freezes.

Collective bargaining within the Lufthansa group is complex because of the presence - which is unusual in German companies - of a number of trade unions.
