Health and Safety Executive recommends wide-ranging ACoPs shake-up

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is recommending scrapping, consolidating or amending all but one of the 32 Approved Codes of Practice (ACoPs) that it has reviewed as a result of the 2011 Löfstedt report on health and safety regulations.

The proposals would reduce the 32 ACoPs to 22, with the most notable casualty being the ACoP to the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSW).
