HMRC consults on real-time information compliance

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has published a consultation document on how it plans to enforce the reporting of "real-time information" (RTI), in relation to pensions about benefit payments made and the income tax deducted.

Under RTI, employers, pension administrators and payroll service providers will send PAYE tax information in "real time", ie when or before they pay their employees or pensioners.
