HSE dusts down employer use of masks

The HSE has called for the "voluntary withdrawal" from sale of nuisance dust masks and their replacement with approved CE-marked disposable respirators. A legal ban on nuisance masks would require a change in European single market law, but the HSE has decided to go it alone because of the damage that nuisance masks can allow to the respiratory system.
