International: ArcelorMittal and unions agree global health and safety programme
In September 2007, ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel producer, agreed an innovative global approach to improving health and safety with trade unions at a conference organised by the International Metalworkers' Federation (IMF).
ArcelorMittal, recently formed by the merger of Mittal Steel and Arcelor, has 320,000 employees worldwide and 61 plants in 27 countries.
