International: Club Méditerranée extends workers' rights agreement

In August 2009, Club Méditerranée, the France-based leisure and holiday villages group, extended an existing agreement on guaranteeing workers' rights in Europe and Africa to cover all its worldwide operations.

In February 2004, Club Méditerranée signed an innovative international agreement on workers' rights and transnational worker mobility with two international trade union organisations - the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers' Associations (IUF) and the European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions (EFFAT).
