International: Enel signs corporate social responsibility accord

Enel, an Italy-based energy multinational, signed an international agreement on corporate social responsibility in April 2009, making a range of commitments in areas such as health and safety, training and equal opportunities.

Enel, which produces, distributes and sells electricity and gas, is Italy's largest energy group and one of the biggest in Europe, following its recent takeover of the Spanish company, Endesa.
