International: Social partners launch cross-border agency work observatory

EU-level trade union and employers' organisations launched a European observatory on cross-border temporary agency work in December 2009, aimed at supporting agencies and workers involved in agency work assignments between countries.

The European Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (Eurociett) represents temporary work agencies across Europe, having as members both national federations (such as the Recruitment and Employment Confederation in the UK) and a number of major multinational companies (such as Adecco and Manpower).
