International: Solvay and EWC sign sustainable development charter
Management and the European Works Council (EWC) at Solvay, a Belgium-based chemicals multinational, signed a European charter on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility in November 2008.
Solvay manufactures chemicals, pharmaceuticals and plastics, and employs some 28,000 people in around 50 countries.
