International: UK and US unions cooperate to fight 'union busters'
In February 2008, the UK’s Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the main US union centre, signed an agreement to cooperate in opposing the activities of “union-busting” consultants.
In the US, there is a long history of employers that are opposed to recognising trade unions engaging the services of “union-avoidance” consultants.
