International: Unions form transatlantic alliance at Deutsche Telekom
Germany's ver.di trade union and the Communication Workers of America (CWA) union launched a transatlantic alliance in November 2009, with the aim of promoting union recognition at T-Mobile USA, a US subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
Ver.di is Germany's largest union with some 2.5 million members, mainly in services, including telecommunications.
