Ireland: More breach-of-agreement cases referred to Labour Court
In its annual report, published on 10 August 2007, the Irish Labour Court notes an upsurge in cases brought by trade unions alleging breaches of registered employment agreements (REAs) by employers, and in pay and conditions cases brought by unionised workers in companies without union recognition.
The Labour Court is Ireland's highest-level tribunal for the resolution of disputes relating to industrial relations, equality, working time organisation, the national minimum wage, part-time work and fixed-term work matters.
