Ireland: National pay agreement ratified

Ireland’s main social partner organisations approved a new national pay agreement In November 2008, providing for a 6% pay increase over 21 months.

A draft “transitional agreement” within the framework of the “Towards 2016” national social partnership agreement signed in 2006, was negotiated by the government, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) and employers’ bodies in September 2008.
