Italy: Agreement reached on 3,900 job losses at Telecom Italia
In August 2010, management and trade unions at Telecom Italia, Italy's largest telecommunications provider, agreed on 3,900 voluntary redundancies, along with reduced working time and pay for 2,000 further staff, accompanied by retraining.
Telecom Italia has a workforce of around 55,000.
