Italy: Agreement reached on bargaining reform in small and medium-sized companies

The Confapi employers' body signed an agreement with the Cisl and Uil trade union confederations in December 2008 on reforming the collective bargaining system applying to small and medium-sized companies.

In many industries in Italy, separate representation and collective bargaining arrangements exist for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and for larger firms.
