Italy: Decree will change public administration pay and conditions
The Italian Cabinet approved a decree in May 2008 reforming the public administration and bringing important changes to staff pay, despite concerted opposition from trade unions.
The decree was drawn up by Renato Brunetta, the Minister for Innovation and the Public Administration.
