Italy: Insurance sector agreement signed

October 2007 saw the conclusion of a new collective agreement for the insurance industry, including relatively high pay rises and provisions on working time and corporate social responsibility.

The accord - which covers some 40,000 workers - was signed, after 18 months of negotiations, by the three main insurance sector trade unions (Fisac-Cgil, Fiba-Cisl and Uilca-Uil) and the Ania employers’ organisation.
