Italy: Luxottica extends employee benefits scheme
In January 2010, Luxottica, an Italian firm that manufactures luxury spectacles, expanded its innovative employee benefits scheme, which has attracted widespread interest as a possible model for other companies to follow.
In early 2009, Luxottica signed an agreement with trade unions introducing a range of non-pay "social" benefits for its 7,800 employees in Italy.
