Italy: Metalworking unions and employers discuss flexibility in national agreement

The Federmeccanica employers' organisation and two of the three main unions in the Italian metalworking industry opened talks on 15 September 2010 on allowing more company-level flexibility within the terms of the sector's national collective agreement.

The metalworking industry collective agreement covers more than 1.6 million employees and is Italy's most important sector-level accord.
