Italy: Pay deal signed for public healthcare workers

A pay agreement was concluded in May 2008 for the 600,000 workers in the Italian public healthcare system, providing for an average monthly pay increase of €92.

The agreement was signed on 14 May by the public sector trade unions affiliated to the three main confederations, Cgil, Cisl and Uil, and by Aran, the public sector collective bargaining agency.
