Italy: Pay deal signed in energy sector

Average monthly pay has been increased by €136 and the use of fixed-term contracts restricted in a three-year collective agreement signed by the social partners in the Italian energy industry in March 2010.

The agreement, which covers 33,000 employees, was signed by the Confindustria Energia employers' organisation and the three sectoral trade unions affiliated to the main confederations, Filcem-Cgil, Femca-Cisla and Uilcem-Uil.
