Italy: Single collective agreement to apply in five manufacturing sectors

Trade unions and employers agreed on 12 November 2008 that the separate sectoral collective agreements that cover small and medium-sized companies in the chemicals, ceramics, plastics, rubber and glass industries should be merged into a single accord from 2010.

The deal was signed by the Unionchimica employers’ association for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in chemicals and related industries, and the main trade unions in these sectors, Filcem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl and Uilcem-Uil.
