Italy: Stricken furniture manufacturer group obtains public funding for lay-offs
In June 2008, the government agreed to continue funding the full or partial lay-off of 1,200 workers at the Natuzzi group, one of Italy's largest furniture manufacturers, which is facing major financial difficulties.
Natuzzi, the leading global manufacturer of leather furniture, employs 6,930 workers worldwide (in Italy, China, Brazil and Romania).
