Italy: Success claimed for 'virtual strike'

In September 2007, trade unions representing IBM employees in Italy organised an online protest on Second Life, the internet-based "virtual world", in a dispute over bonuses. In October, an agreement was signed to resolve the dispute and unions claim that the "virtual strike" was partly responsible for the breakthrough.
