In the first year of a three-year deal negotiated with Amicus, the GMB and the Transport and General Workers' Union, Jaguar has awarded its 4,608 hourly paid employees a 4% across-the-board rise, effective from 1 November 2006.
Other key elements of the deal include:
a one-off £50 lump-sum payment;
an increase in the annual holiday bonus to £320 in 2007 for employees on “West Midlands” terms;
bereavement leave to be extended to include leave for the death of a grandchild; and
an increase in pension contributions from 5% to 5.5% at
1 February 2007 with a further increase to 6% on 1 November 2007.
