Judge dismisses manslaughter chargers for boy's death

Two companies have escaped charges of the corporate manslaughter of a boy run over by an HGV reversing from their premises onto a road.

Sitting in Chester Crown Court on 20 June 2001, Mr Justice Holland dismissed the charges against Oakes Millers Ltd and HJ Lea Oakes Ltd, and a charge of manslaughter against company director Michael Jepson.
