Lander Automotive: new two-year deal

    In the first stage of a two-year deal negotiated with the ISTC, Lander Automotive has awarded its 231 employees a 3% across-the-board pay rise effective from 1 January 2004. The second stage of the deal will see a 2.5% pay rise, payable in January 2005.

    Other changes as part of the agreement include:

  • a £100 payment to be paid to all staff/indirect/direct employees in December 2004 and 2005;

  • the removal of the current efficiency bonus scheme on 1 January 2004. All employees who received the bonus payment will have £53.00 per month added to their basic rate of pay;

  • all hourly paid employees to receive 25-minute paid fixed breaks;

  • washing-up time given before the end of a shift will be in an employee's own time from 1 January 2004.
