Landmark agreement reached on equal opportunities in universities and colleges

Over 300,000 workers - from porters to professors - are now covered by a landmark equal opportunities agreement between higher education unions and the national employers' body, the Universities and Colleges Employers Association.

The agreement, which covers every worker in the higher education sector, recommends the collection of equal opportunities data and the local setting of targets.
