A three-year pay settlement has been agreed for civil servants in Northern Ireland that increases average earnings by 4% in each 12-month stage of the deal and by 12% over the full three years. The pay award, which takes effect from 1 August 2006, was agreed between Northern Ireland's Department of Finance and Personnel and the Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance in January 2007.
